THE OPEN EXPANSE OF AWARENESS

Om Svasti

The delightful myriad phenomena constantly come and go
And free of grasping to any of it

One’s mind,
That doesn’t exist as any particular thing,
Is at peace; Vibrantly lucid, and naturally luminous.

This is the experience of one’s Open Expanse of Awareness.

Being present and open to all
With one’s heart mind balanced and compassionately oriented
One is no longer mistakenly taken in by the illusory display

But has infinite space in which to play.

Being aware that one is an aware being
Reveals one’s present awareness
is not fixated on anything or limited in any way.

Rest and relax in this awareness of awareness itself.
Then each and every possible phenomenon has the go ahead to
naturally self liberate.
When confused ego clinging tries to pit you against yourself
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

When self hatred wants you to think that you’re worthless
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

When self righteous indignation has got you
Forwarding the artificial us and them divisions
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

Beyond any mentally concocted notions
Of dualistic power plays
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

To resolve all potential doubts and self made struggling
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

To balance your subtle energies and release all tensions
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

As the winds of change sweep everything away
Relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness

To serve all beings and bring them to lasting happiness
Rest in the Open Expanse of Awareness

To self liberate all elements of one’s vehicle of experience
Into their primordially pure nature…

It’s not a doing
It’s your Being

Naturally recognized

As Realized

Present

Relieved

Relaxed

Released

This poem that encourages one to relax in the Open Expanse of Awareness was spontaneously springing to Kadag’s otherwise
be-clouded mind on Mother’s Day Of 2006. May all find genuine Being’s relaxation. Jay Siddhi Svaha
