In Sanskrit: Maha Tattva Kophi Tantra | Vedana-bodhichittotpatti-samaya-dravya-ratha viharati sma ||
༑ མཧ་ཏཏ་ཀོཕིཏན། བེ་ད་ན་བོདྷིཙཏོཏཏི་ས་མ་ཡ་དབ་ར་ཐ་བི་ཧ་ར་ཏི་ས།།
First the generation stage:
Start by giving rise to hot water by combining the following mantra with the action of drawing up the water within the central channel of whatever coffee apparatus you have either emanated clearly or actually placed in front of you….
Maintaining a hopeful demeanor recite the mantra of arising hot water:
OM TATO TATO SO TATO SO TATO TATO PANAYE TATO TANAYE SO HOT
(Translation):
OM The universal field of all potential appearance
TATO TATA SO TATO SO TATO
Hot, hot, very hot, extremely hot.
TATO PANAYE
Hot water
TATO TANAYE
Pump or draw up (the heated water)
SO HOT
So be it. (Or very hot).
Next, when the hot water has actually manifested, add coffee by extraction or by filtering out the course particles of gross mind while reciting the mantra of transforming the substance into amrita:
OM COFFEE COFFEE MAHA COFFEE KALI COFFEE (if adding sugar then append to the root manra as follows): CHINAY HALDAYE CHUMSA CHALDAYE AMRITAYE HUNG HRI THA
(Translation):
OM COFFEE COFFEE
Salutations to coffee (the need or fervent request for coffee)
MAHA COFFEE
Great Coffee (not just any coffee)
KALI COFFEE
Black Coffee (probably implies with caffeine)
CHINAY HALDAYE
Pour in the sugar
CHUMSA CHALDAYE
Stir the depths (stir it up) with a spoon
AMRITAYE HUNG HRI THA
Arising as deathlessness nectar
Next, bearing in mind the five certainties; right place, right time, right blend, correct grind and suitable vessel, enjoy the substances while reciting the accomplishment mantra:
OM PUNAYE PUNAYE SUB PUNAYE SUB SUB PUNAYE CUP KALI BANAYAGYE BODHI BODHI
MAHA BODHI SO HOT
(Translation):
OM PUNAYE PUNAYE
Drink it drink it, (Punaye may also indicate extended lifespan)
SUB PUNAYE SUB SUB PUNAYE
Drink it all, really, all of it (sub sub also indicates the sound of sipping)
CUP KALI BANAYAGYE
Make the cup empty
BODHI BODHI MAHA BODHI SO HOT
Notice, Notice, Great Enlightenment so hot (at the end) exclaim the words: “ATI SUKHA” (indicating that there is no bliss higher than this)
Je thob (afterwards): Continue your day’s activities recognizing all phenomenon as the actual face of unobscurable total awakening of one taste with the samaya accomplishment substance and primordially awakened mind.
