EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING – A SONG BY MILAREPA

Once while walking down the street a homeless guy asked me for some money. I glanced into his clear open eyes and was seized with a yearning to be of assistance. I fumbled for change, but had none. I looked at him, again, and said “I’m sorry, man, I have nothing”. And he said: “That’s alright man, everything is everything.”

VAJRASATTVA DREAMING

Vajrasattva Dreaming is a painting that took over a year to create. Combined with video, poetry and music, together with the composition gives your mind a chance to fly freely and be used in many different ways: meditation, phases of dying, dancing and concerts. Enjoy this multi-media experience.

THE OPEN HAND OF ACCEPTANCE

Accepting ourselves is like placing ourselves and our issues in an open hand, the open hand of acceptance. For example, when we have a disease, we often fight with it and this creates worry, fear, and anger; this kind of fighting is a struggle between us and the disease.

SINGABLE 21 PRAISES TO ARYA TARA

Tara made the promise that whoever sings her praise with her name mantra, will be touched by the light ray of love and compassion and ultimately be at one with her level of realization, true freedom and enlightenment.

A PILGRIMAGE TO THE TIGER’S NEST

Taktsang is indeed a special place. It is the most holy and revered temple in all of Bhutan, perched dramatically on the edge of a cliff with a 900 meters drop beneath. The Indian yogi Padmasambhava, affectionately known as Guru Rinpoche in the Himalayas, flew to this cave on the back of a tiger.

THE FOOD WE EAT

Today I went to a small secret place on the Island where I live. In the deep dark shiny woods, you can find it, along with all the elves, gnomes, trolls and pixies. It is a hippie community born out of the sixties and still very much alive.

LEARNING TO SWIM – TIME TO LET GO AND LET YOURSELF GROW

The seahorse passively holds on to it’s weedy leaf, denied of it’s maternal nurturing as his mother, strong, independent still oddly domineering, leaves the care to the father. However, all too soon, the seahorse is alone. Lost to the whim of the sea.

UNBORN SOUND

The practice of the four elements has apparently been confused with a practice of listening to the sounds of earth, wind, fire, and water in the external environment, rather than the one that focuses on the self-arising sounds associated with the primary chakras of our subtle energy bodies.

RADICAL EASE

There is no cure for what ails us, without the body’s grace, its enlightened intent, I wager the cure (for all of us)

MEDITATION IS A STATE OF MIND

The key word here is cling; it is so easy to get caught up in thought patterns. We follow our thoughts when we cling to the past, to the future, and even to the present moment. When we follow our thoughts, getting tangled up like cling wrap, we suffer from anger, fears, worries and all sorts of attachments.

THE MORE WE LEARN THE LESS WE KNOW

We are endlessly distracted and preoccupied with things which are not intrinsically important to our inner well being. In fact our educational system is founded upon the very principles that remove us from the sacred inner knowledge which lies at the very heart of our existence.

ETERNITY

How does one describe the indescribable? What sweet flowing words can I use to invoke the proper image in your heart?
All that there is, exists within “Reality;” And yet where is Reality located? And when is it happening too?

REFLECTIONS ON A DAILY RITUAL

I found myself among endless lines of crystal urinals and polished sinks, utterly alone. Or at least something close to it, if you remove the senior citizen janitor’s presence. I unwrapped a small, bleach-white sliver of soap, compliments of last night’s lodging.
