ART CLASS & AUSPICIOUS CONNECTIONS

On the first day I decided to see if they were able to handle an open expanse, not to give them direction. They had received many arts and crafts lessons creating marvelous things but had always worked within given perimeters. What I wanted was for them to explore their own imaginings.

FRIENDS

Friends are precious and rare, like jewels on a mystical island that you are sometimes searching for in your clear dreams. When you cry or feel sad and low out of the blue, friends cannot help but get up from their cushion and take you in their arms, to comfort you and make you feel shine again like sparkling rainbow lights.

FRESH FOOD – FRESH MIND

Imagine, you do something every day that goes against your principles, your ideals, your knowledge and you keep on doing it. You will feel your confidence drop, your dignity decline. That is why, it felt EMPOWERING to take that decision not to eat junk.

ACCEPTANCE OF WHAT CAN NOT BE CHANGED

Large tears began to roll down his cheeks as he looked at me steadily. It was the more heart-wrenching because he did not try to play up his situation in any way. He was simply acknowledging what his life had become.

A PARABLE ABOUT LIFE & CHASING REFLECTIONS

One day, as a man was walking along the beach, he noticed that there was a rock sticking out of the sand. It was an unusual looking rock. There was something about the way the light reflected off it. He could almost see things in it.

THE SONG OF THE VAJRA

As indestructible as the Vajra, As stable as the mountain, As pure as the lotus, Strong as a lion, Incomparable bliss, Beyond all limits; Illumination, Equanimity, Peak of the Dharma, Light of the Universe, Perfect since the very beginning.

THE INSIDERS

The Tibetan translators a millennium ago chose nangpa as the word for Buddhist and it simply means insider, to accept that mind is responsible for everything. To be a true insider means to change the causes, rather than blaming the effects.

MING GUGONG

Rolpe Dorje Rinpoche, a Gelugpa Mongolian tulku who spent nearly his whole life in the Qing Court, first with the 2nd Yongzen Emperor, then with the great emperor, Qianlong. He was the Dorje Löppon of Qianlong for Chakrasamvara and Kalachakra.

EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING – A SONG BY MILAREPA

Once while walking down the street a homeless guy asked me for some money. I glanced into his clear open eyes and was seized with a yearning to be of assistance. I fumbled for change, but had none. I looked at him, again, and said “I’m sorry, man, I have nothing”. And he said: “That’s alright man, everything is everything.”

VAJRASATTVA DREAMING

Vajrasattva Dreaming is a painting that took over a year to create. Combined with video, poetry and music, together with the composition gives your mind a chance to fly freely and be used in many different ways: meditation, phases of dying, dancing and concerts. Enjoy this multi-media experience.

THE OPEN HAND OF ACCEPTANCE

Accepting ourselves is like placing ourselves and our issues in an open hand, the open hand of acceptance. For example, when we have a disease, we often fight with it and this creates worry, fear, and anger; this kind of fighting is a struggle between us and the disease.

SINGABLE 21 PRAISES TO ARYA TARA

Tara made the promise that whoever sings her praise with her name mantra, will be touched by the light ray of love and compassion and ultimately be at one with her level of realization, true freedom and enlightenment.

A PILGRIMAGE TO THE TIGER’S NEST

Taktsang is indeed a special place. It is the most holy and revered temple in all of Bhutan, perched dramatically on the edge of a cliff with a 900 meters drop beneath. The Indian yogi Padmasambhava, affectionately known as Guru Rinpoche in the Himalayas, flew to this cave on the back of a tiger.

THE FOOD WE EAT

Today I went to a small secret place on the Island where I live. In the deep dark shiny woods, you can find it, along with all the elves, gnomes, trolls and pixies. It is a hippie community born out of the sixties and still very much alive.
